Resources

In this section, you will find our research, reports, partner resources and interactive tools. This section is in on-going development and enables access to resources on a large spectrum of issues pertinent to children and youth. It will also soon provide interactive tools to assist communities in taking action for youth as part of our Grad Nation campaign to end the high school dropout crisis and prepare young people for college and the 21st century workforce. The goal of the Alliance’s knowledge management efforts is to effectively deliver resources and services to the communities most in need. This work includes directing new research on youth and community topics and evaluating our initiatives through a partnership with Duke University’s Center for Child & Family Policy.

Knowledge Center

The Alliance is working with nFocus Software to develop new interactive online tools for communities. A unique application will enable organizations and individuals to query experts regarding programming, services, best and promising practices, and processes. It will also provide the opportunity to search a directory of local youth-serving organizations and programs to locate the services most needed. The Knowledge Center will also feature hundreds of new resources.

Parent Engagement Toolkit

The Annie E. Casey Foundation and America’s Promise Alliance developed this toolkit to engage parents in dropout prevention and development strategies to ensure the success of all children. It is a resource for all organizations and community leaders interested in bringing the parent voice into the planning process and the development of local and state action plans addressing the dropout crisis.
